The Woodlands Development Company is overseeing the planning, design and construction for a new turning basin extension project over The Woodlands Waterway™ near Town Green Park in The
Woodlands Town Center.
The turning basin extension will replace the existing guardrail and enhance the walkway on
the upper portion of the basin and add a boardwalk on the lower portion along
the waterway edge, connecting the two walks with three cascading fountains and
two sets of stairs. Landscaping and lighting will also be added as well as the
addition of seating.
The Town
Center Owners Association, which includes property owners in Town Center, is
funding the improvements on the turning basin.
The turning basin walkway - across the waterway
between Riva Row Boat House and Town Green Park - will be closed now through
Feb. 2, 2017 for construction. An estimated completion date is expected in
the second quarter of 2017.
Access
around The Woodlands Waterway™ is available at eight locations, street level
and/or waterway level, during the extension project:

Six Pines Drive (ramp or stairs)
