Town Center/The Waterway

Town Center is the 1,000-acre ‘downtown’ of The Woodlands and a regional destination for shopping, dining, commerce, urban living and entertainment. The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and numerous stand-alone shops and restaurants comprise the retail hub of this thriving environment. The Woodlands Waterway®, a 1.4-mile long water amenity, transportation corridor and linear park, links all of these activities into a carefully-planned 24/7 dynamic, urban atmosphere that is perfectly in sync with its natural surroundings. Waterway Cruisers, trolleys, bicycles and pedestrian walkways allow visitors to leave their cars and step into a relaxing, attractive cultural center all connected by the cooling presence of water.

The centerpiece of The Waterway is Waterway Square, a one-acre plaza with multiple water features including a 120-foot long terraced, boomer jets that spray water 75-feet into the air, and fountains choreographed to music and accented with colored lights.
