Patriotic Festivities Planned in The Woodlands

Festivities for Independence Day kick off in The Woodlands on Monday, July 3 and run through the 4th of July.  Several events are planned for America’s Hometown:

Monday, July 3

Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute. Gates open at 6:30 PM. Concerts begin at 8 PM at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is free, courtesy of The Woodlands Development Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corporation®.   The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American Classics, sing-alongs, and of course, Tchaikovsky’s "1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill. 

Tuesday, July 4

Fourth of July Parade "Let Freedom Ring”. Family members of all ages will enjoy the fire engines, clowns, floats, horses and much more parading through Town Center. The parade will begin at 9 AM at Grogan’s Mill Road and Lake Woodlands Drive and will continue through Town Center, Market Street and end at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Before the parade starts, jugglers, clowns and lots more entertainment mingle with the crowd.

Splash Day! Cool off at one of the Township's 14 community pools! Entry to the pools will be free to all residents from 10 AM to 6 PM with activities occurring between noon and 4 PM. The lifeguards at each pool will select a special theme and provide free activities and refreshments while supplies last.

Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza. Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment, children’s activities and family fun at multiple locations throughout The Woodlands from 6 to 10 PM. This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages. Live music at the Hughes Landing Bandshell starting at 5:30 PM. The event culminates with the 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands. The 20th Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival will be larger than ever before, with multiple event and fireworks launch locations throughout The Woodlands.
