by The Woodlands

National Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 10. There’s no better way to spend the day with your grandparents than a day out in The Woodlands.

Alex Sutton, Co-President of The Woodlands Development Company, and his wife Sharon are long-time residents of The Woodlands and are parents to four children, and six grandchildren – three boys and three girls – ranging in age from 5 to 15. Two daughters and their families live in The Woodlands, totaling four grandchildren who are residents of this hometown.

The Suttons say that their grandchildren are very active in the community enjoying:
-Band
-Activities: Cross Country Running, Swimming, Dance
-Boy Scouts
-Church Activities

When asked what the grandchildren enjoy doing in The Woodlands, the Suttons say:
-Parks – There are 143 parks in The Woodlands.
-Bike Riding – The families enjoy bike riding along the 212 miles of hike-and-bike pathways.
-Library – The Woodlands is home to the South Regional Library and the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library.
-The Woodlands Waterway® - The grandchildren are growing older and really enjoy visiting The Waterway especially eating at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and BurgerFi.

The Suttons plan to enjoy National Grandparents Day with their grandchildren along The Waterway with a special family party.
