New year, new resolutions begin in The Woodlands

With the new year comes new resolutions. According to a survey by Statistic Brain, the top two resolutions are to lose weight by eating healthier and to make life or self-improvements. But that same survey also states of the 41% of Americans who make New Year’s Resolutions, only 9.2% have success.

Health improvements and losing weight can start with a healthy routine. We sat down with Taryn Burt, partner/instructor at RIDE Indoor Cycling in Hughes Landing for tips on a routine. She suggests:

· Find a workout partner who will keep you accountable.

· Try different workouts until you find one that you enjoy.

· Never miss a Monday. By starting your week off right, you're more likely to achieve your fitness goals all week.

If you’re interested in trying RIDE, the first class is free. "You will burn an average of 500 calories, and have fun while you are doing it,” Burt says.
