Memorial Day: Ways to Help and have Fun

Memorial Day is a time to remember the great people who died while serving in the armed forces. Originally, Memorial Day was call Decoration Day and was observed on May 30. It was later moved to the last Monday in May.

The Woodlands Township is hosting a Memorial Day Celebration:
Memorial Day Sunday Festival – The Woodlands pays tributes to all military who have died for our country and veterans. Enjoy live music, kids’ activities, entertainment and fireworks display. Sunday, May 28, 4-9 PM, Town Green Park.

Want to be a volunteer to help honor those who have served our country?
Flowers for Heroes – Volunteer to help the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation distribute roses to veterans, active military and their families at the Houston National Cemetery along with volunteering to place flowers on the burial sites. Monday, May 29, begins at 7 AM.

Just a reminder, trash and recycling services for The Woodlands will be uninterrupted despite the holiday.

The Woodlands Development Company and The Howard Hughes Corporation® thank all the great men and women who have died serving our country as well as the veterans and active military who protect the U.S.A.

Happy Memorial Day!
