Inaugural Inspire Film Festival Comes to The Woodlands Town Center

by The Woodlands

The Woodlands is adding to its repertoire of the arts with the inaugural Inspire Film Festival coming to Town Center. This is a four-day event from February 23-26 and is the first of its kind, bringing exclusively, selected films, performances, filmmakers and special guests. Films tell the story of ordinary people who are true heroes and inspire "the world in their own way”.

"We see incredible opportunities for this film festival to become known nationally and internationally,” said Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, one of the sponsors. "This festival is very important for The Woodlands' residents as The Woodlands is known for its cultural diversity with people from around the world living here.”

Here are some tips for going to the Inspire Film Festival:

·       The Festival has four screening areas set in walkable areas between Hughes Landing and Waterway Square.

·       You can purchase your Festival Passes for a single day or for all films online or in person at Inspire Film Festival Office, two doors down from Cinemark in Market Street.

·       Clap loud because the filmmaker or actor/actresses may be in the audience.

·       Turn your cell phones off during showings.

"The films being screened during the Inspire Film Festival this weekend in The Woodlands, capture different dimensions of everyday heroes with stories that truly move the human spirit. Real people, sometimes in unreal situations, defying all odds to make a meaningful mark on the world — one that wouldn’t have been made had they not had the courage in the moment to rise to the occasion,” said Alex Bunch, Chief Creative and CMO of The Woodlands Financial Group, a sponsor of the event.
