Enjoy Valentine’s Day with your furry loved one

by The Woodlands

Valentine’s Day is a day of love. What a better way than to spend the special day with man's and woman’s best friend – your dog.  Did you know that about nine million people buy their pets a gift for Valentine’s Day, according to SoftSchools.com?

Stephon Gee from Kriser’s Natural Pet in Hughes Landing says that Valentine’s dog cookies from their bakery and heart-shaped rope toys are two of the top-selling dog treats for the special occasion.

Gee says even dogs need to know they are loved. "Dogs enjoy getting sweets on Valentine’s Day as much as humans.”

Here are five dog-friendly, off-leash areas in The Woodlands where you and your dog can enjoy Valentine’s Day:

·       Bear Branch Park in the Village of Cochran’s Crossing

·       Cattail Park in the Village of Cochran’s Crossing (I believe a cat named this park)

·       Terramont Park in the Village of Sterling Ridge

·       Tamarac Park in the Village of Grogan’s Mill

·       Harper’s Landing in the Village of College Park

Happy Valentine’s Day and Woof Woof to your furry loved one!
